About the role
A Barista creates and serves specialty hot and cold beverages according to Eataly’s recipes and guest requests. This role involves working at multiple quick-service restaurant (QSR) counters, providing high-quality, fast-paced service, and sharing product knowledge with guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and serves authentic Italian espresso, coffee, and other café drinks at multiple counters
- Provides guests with exceptional service and detailed product information, such as coffee blend or preparation methods
- Sets up stations and replenishes displays neatly, ensuring allergen separation (e.g., nuts, wheat)
- Ensures all items are dated and follows First In, First Out (FIFO) standards
- Weighs, grinds, or packs coffee beans according to guest specifications
- Operates the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring accuracy of cash handling and bill authenticity
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas in compliance with local health agency regulations
- Works across all QSR counters, serving pastry, gelato, pizza, and other Italian delicacies
- Maintains a calm demeanor during high-volume periods
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea, and drink preparation
- Outstanding communication and guest service skills
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow production directions
- 1+ year of barista experience on a manual espresso machine preferred
- High school diploma preferred
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
- Dexterity for rapid and consistent espresso creation
- Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machines, ovens, drink blenders, juicers, and POS systems

Pay
Pay rate starts from $18.70 - $19.50 an hour plus tips.
Schedule
Full-time (32 hours or more) or part-time (31 hours or less) positions available.
