Café Ambassador - Short Pump

About the role

As a Café Ambassador, you are the face of Capital One’s mission to change banking for good. We’ve broken the mold of traditional banking—you won’t be found behind a teller line or a glass window. Instead, you’ll move throughout the Café, bridging the gap between digital innovation and human connection. In this role, you’ll act as a high-end service specialist and a guide to digital banking.

Responsibilities

Be a Natural Connector: Proactively engage with guests in a high-energy environment that serves as both a community space and a local coffee shop. Serve as a Brand Advocate: You’ll share the value of Capital One’s products and services through genuine conversation rather than transactions. Simplify the Complex: Guide customers through our digital ecosystem, helping them master mobile tools and troubleshooting tech challenges with ease. Facilitate Purposeful Impact: Host and support local events that promote financial health. Advocate & Problem-Solve: You’ll advocate for our customers, problem solve, and own issue resolution in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements. Act as a Culture Carrier: Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where every guest feels welcome.

Requirements

• Support surrounding Cafés as needed within a 50 mile radius, with occasional opportunities to assist other locations in the broader Region.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with hours and days subject to change.
• Lifting up to 25 pounds and moving/standing for extended periods of time
• Regular and consistent attendance

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification, At least 1 year of Retail, Sales, or Customer Service experience. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s degree, 2+ years of banking experience, 2+ years of Retail or Customer-facing experience, Proficient in G-Suite, Strong written and oral communication skills.

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are $47,840 - $55,016 for Cafe Ambassador in Richmond, VA. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
