CADD Tech

About the role

You will prepare survey plats and maps—including boundary surveys, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and utility route surveys—while meeting the requirements of agencies such as VDOT, USACE, and NAVFAC. Assignments vary based on office needs and will be communicated by the office manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage individual survey projects from start to finish
• Conduct courthouse research
• Process data collected by survey crews
• Prepare CAD files
• Perform construction staking calculations
• Occasional field work
• Work with minimal supervision to complete projects with demanding scopes and schedules

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of surveying-related experience (a Survey/CAD-related degree from an accredited college, vocational/technical school, or military training may substitute for 2 years of experience)
• Proficient in Carlson and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience using MicroStation with GeoPak and/or OpenRoads
