CADD Drafter

About the role

Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is seeking motivated individuals to join their team in Billings, MT as drafters. The successful candidates will be responsible for drafting and design support to multiple design teams involved with conceptual, preliminary, and final design of station projects ranging from 34.5 kV to 345 kV.

Responsibilities

• Design of substation physical drawings
• Substation electrical wiring
• Schematic diagrams
• Development of materials list
• Perform a variety of other duties as determined by management staff

Requirements

• College degree in an acceptable curriculum, two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design, or a minimum of two years concentrated on the job experience in computer-aided drafting/design field
• Proficient in AutoCAD and possess a strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment; MicroStation experience a plus
• Prominent effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven excellent level of interpersonal skills
• Ability to work individually and on a team
• Detail oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills
• Proven ability to work with confidential information
• Proven ability to exercise independent judgment

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years concentrated on the job experience in computer-aided drafting/design field
• Proficient in AutoCAD and possess a strong computer aptitude in a Windows environment; MicroStation experience a plus
• Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
• Proven excellent level of interpersonal skills
• Ability to work individually and on a team
