CADD Designer

About the role

This position will be in our Suffern, NY office location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil design drawings and plans for site development projects
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and surveyors to create accurate and timely construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software
• Produce site layout, grading, utility, erosion control, drainage plans, profiles, and earthwork for land development projects
• Aid in the preparation of construction documents, exhibits, and design reports
• Interpret and apply local zoning and engineering codes/regulations
• Cook up with engineers, survey teams, and project managers to meet deadlines
• Review and update redlines and markups from engineers
• Prepare and submit permit applications in support of the project development, representing our clients
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with multiple staff members in a team environment

Requirements

• Background in land development
• 2+ years’ experience
• A strong skill set both with basic AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Valid driver’s license
• Organizational/time management skills
• Limited local travel to client meetings and project sites
• Possess high ethical standards and committed to producing high quality work with a commitment to teamwork, respect, and integrity

Qualifications

• Completion of a CADD training/education program is preferred

Hourly Rate Range: $33.00 - $39.00 based on experience
