Cadaver Lab Technician - Part-Time Hourly

About the role

The Center for Anatomical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center seeks a Part-Time Cadaver Lab Technician to support anatomy/cadaver lab sessions by recording cadaver dissection demonstrations and editing footage into clear instructional videos.

Responsibilities

• Pre session setup: set up camera/tripod/lighting/mics; confirm framing, audio, battery + storage.
• During lab: record steady, clear video/audio; monitor levels; follow faculty direction on key steps/structures/cautions.
• Post production: trim/assemble segments; sync/clean audio; add basic titles/labels (and captions if requested); export in required format.
• File management: keep organized naming/folders; upload by deadlines; maintain backups.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
• Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Ability to follow all cadaver lab safety protocols and faculty instructions; Knowledge of working in a cadaver lab setting; Ability to maintain confidentiality and respectful handling of all lab materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Art Technologies; Experience recording video (camera/phone) and basic editing; (CapCut/iMovie/Premiere/DaVinci/Final Cut).

Physical Requirements

• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Lifting and moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Environmental Hazards: Exposure to fumes or airborne particles; Low temperatures; Exposure to moving mechanical parts or vibration.
