CAD Technician I - Land Development

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a CAD Technician at LJA Land Development, you will be responsible for performing non-technical drafting support for assigned projects using computer aided drafting (CAD) software.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE

• Creating CAD drawings for engineering projects
• Creating and modifying maps for special assignments
• Creating plans and profile sheets plus CAD file exhibits
• Completing redline markups
• Performing work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions, and notes
• Establishing and maintaining schedules and offering progress reports
• Maintaining current knowledge of design and drafting procedures in a specialty field
• Performing other assigned duties as required

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

• Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years’ experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Effective communication skills both oral and written
• Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers
• Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
