About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CAD Professional with a focus on Land Development to join our Engineering team. This position supports our engineering teams by producing high-quality technical drawings, plans, and project deliverables for a variety of civil engineering projects, including land development, utilities, transportation, and infrastructure throughout Florida.
Immediate opportunities are available in our Orlando (Winter Park) and Middleton/The Villages office locations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex permitting and construction plans, details, and maps for civil engineering projects.
- Apply advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and drafting principles to develop accurate and high-quality deliverables.
- Perform quality control (QC) reviews of drawings and project deliverables to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to support project goals and deadlines.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior CAD technicians to support their professional development.
- Work independently with minimal oversight while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
- Assist in identifying solutions to technical challenges and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Serve as a technical resource and leader within the CAD team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive civil engineering production experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Thorough understanding of civil engineering drafting standards, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Highly motivated, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Prior experience mentoring or training junior staff is preferred.
