CAD Technician - Civil

About the role

A growing civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a Civil CAD Designer to support the design of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role works closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to develop construction drawings and design documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D civil construction drawings
• Draft plan sheets, profiles, and details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Prepare report figures and design exhibits
• Aid with quantity take-offs
• Support Project Engineers and Project Managers throughout the design process
• Aid with project coordination and design activities
• Participate in occasional field visits for site verification and measurements
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative design environment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience using Civil 3D in a professional setting
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Experience preparing, drafting, and designing civil construction plans

Preferred Experience

• Municipal, utility, transportation, land development, or water/wastewater project experience preferred

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Range: $32.50 - $45.00 per hour
• Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms

Work Environment

• This position is primarily office-based with occasional field visits for site verification, measurements, and project-related activities.
• Schedule Options:
  • Option 1: Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • Option 2: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Average work week is approximately 44–45 hours.
