CAD Drafter Technician
About the role
Turner Industries is a fully diversified industrial contractor that provides responsive, innovative solutions to increase plant production, reduce costs, reduce downtime, and prevent shutdowns. We are currently accepting resumes for a highly motivated and skilled CAD Drafter/Technician to join our team in the Houston area.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and detailed CAD drawings and models to support inspection activities within the petrochemical industry. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and efficiency of critical infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit)
- Develop and maintain accurate as-built drawings and models based on field inspection data
- Prepare and generate inspection reports, including sketches, diagrams, and other relevant documentation
- Assist in the development of inspection plans and procedures
- Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards
- Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in CAD technology
- Perform additional assignments as required
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and industry standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Revit)
- Knowledge of inspection techniques and procedures
- Experience with data management and document control systems

Physical Involvement
