Essential Job Tasks
- Creates engineering drawings to convey the design of generation, transmission, distribution and industrial facilities.
- Revises existing drawings as well as creates new drawings using available CAD software.
- Prepares purchase requisitions and material requests to acquire substation and construction equipment.
- Affords assistance in the preparation of specifications to ensure that ordered equipment be manufactured in accordance with its intended use.
- Affords assistance in creating preliminary designs, scopes, and estimates for projects.
Standards
- Updates specifications, figures, and the standard material catalog.
- Participates in review meetings, assists team members, interfaces with vendors, routes, makes corrections, and follows the Standards Procedure.
- Maintains contact with vendors to keep abreast of new designs and technologies.
- Cheks drawings for accuracy and standardization.
Position Requirements:
- Engineering Technician A: Bachelor's Degree + 4 years experience or Associate's Degree +6 years experience or High School Diploma/GED +8 years experience required.
- Engineering Technician B: Bachelor's Degree + 1 year experience or Associate's Degree +3 years experience or High School Diploma/GED +5 years experience required.
- Engineering Technician C: Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree or High School Diploma/GED + 2 years experience required.
Compensation Information:
- Engineering Technician A: $33.35 - $41.65 (min. - mid.)
- Engineering Technician B: $27.00 - $33.75 (min. - mid.)
- Engineering Technician C: $22.00- $27.45 (min. - mid.)
