About the role
Hurco Companies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, Indiana.
This role provides CAD design and solid modeling support for engineers and designers while helping develop and maintain accurate engineering documentation for our world-class CNC machine tools.

Responsibilities
- Create and detail mechanical assemblies and components using SolidWorks.
- Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Process Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through Product Data Management (PDM) and the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including:
- Standard operating procedures
- Technical specifications
- Part numbers
- Configuration sheets
- Support engineers and designers by producing detailed drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing information.
- Ensure engineering documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Average: Associate's degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: Experience using SolidWorks or another 3D CAD software package (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience creating detailed mechanical drawings and assemblies.
- Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
- Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or other ERP systems is a plus.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
