CAD Designer Intern (Part-Time)

About the role

The CAD Designer Intern will create new models and drawings of existing part-drawings using SolidWorks. Responsibilities include revision control and loading into file Data Management systems.

Responsibilities

• Create new models and drawings of existing part-drawings using SolidWorks.
• Revision control and load into file Data Management systems.
• Experience using SolidWorks modeling and detailing design software.
• Ability to read technical drawings and create models and drawings of existing parts.
• Understanding of casting and machining parts.
• Familiar with Geometrical Tolerancing and dimensioning.
• Attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft tools and an understanding of file data management / file revision control.

Requirements

• Must be actively pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in MET, Engineering Graphics or similar major.
• Exposure to SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with geometrical Dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Ability to read 2D prints and interpret data.
• Attention to detail.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with passion for new and changing ideas.
• Microsoft basic tools, Teams and Outlook experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 1 year of college coursework.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program.

Skills
