About the Role
Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for electrical, mechanical, Smart Buildings, and energy management systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into production-ready designs and ensure adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Generate technical drawings, system layouts, schematics, and blueprints for project execution.
- Ensure design accuracy, industry standards compliance, and project specifications adherence.
- Collaborate with engineers to refine design concepts, perform design calculations, and optimize system layouts.
- Manage multiple design iterations, version control, and drawing archives to maintain data integrity.
- Work closely with engineering, project management, support, and field teams to translate concepts into production-ready designs.
- Support the development of submittal packages, as-built drawings, and project documentation.
- Assist with design changes, revisions, and updates based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance to installation teams and field personnel, ensuring design intent is accurately implemented.
- Stay current with CAD advancements, drafting techniques, and industry best practices.
- Assist in developing CAD design standards, templates, and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Support automation and scripting initiatives to enhance design accuracy and productivity.
- Mentor and train junior designers and CAD technicians on best practices and software functionalities.
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and Revit is required.
- Proficiency with Revit, SolidWorks, Bluebeam, or other CAD and BIM software.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and Smart Buildings system designs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and construction blueprints.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination and 3D modeling techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to create precise and high-quality technical drawings.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills for optimizing system designs.
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams.
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering principles to design solutions.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Intermediate-level experience in CAD design for electrical, mechanical, or building automation systems.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour.
