About the role

As a CAD Designer at Genesis Products, you will join our Mocksville-based engineering team to ensure the overall success of our product lines for Industrial markets. Reporting to the Product Director, this role requires fluency in AutoCAD and CNC programming software and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD designs and detailed drawings
• Coordinate prototype and production sample builds
• Create CNC tool paths for a variety of manufacturing products
• Oversee CNC processes to ensure programming is functioning properly and verify parts are correct
• Nest CNC machines to maximize yield
• Troubleshoot CNC issues involving program errors, offsets, tooling, and other issues
• Support manufacturing to ensure product fabrication and assembly align with design functionality
• Prepare quotes and engineering drawings to facilitate production changes
• Generate CAD designs and prints for new and changing products
• Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and processes that support the Product Team
• Interface with internal teams and customers to determine needs and solutions
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production orders
• Fluency in AutoCAD and CNC programming software
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and give/receive feedback
• Ability to inspect parts for compliance upon execution of programs
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Capable of using calipers and other precision measuring instruments
