Cad Designer
About the role
The role involves preparing or assisting in the developing of design drawings, design change notices, bill of materials and other documents required for facility/plant modification, equipment and other projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare or revise selected drawings and other documentation subject to review by higher level Designers or Team Leads.
- Develop site-specific wiring diagrams and equipment layouts based on generalized standards and instructions.
- Maintain and update Design Configuration Documents through the use of CADD and manual drafting techniques.
- Compile all required documentation for assigned projects into a complete package, submit for review and approval, and expedite transmittal to appropriate field units.
- Perform field investigations to determine as-built conditions and design requirements.
- Perform studies and required computations for the development of design drawings with direction from higher level Designers or Team Leads.
- Provide lead personnel with field prints, check prints, and working copies of documents to expedite generation of final engineering drawings.
- Ensure conformance to procedures, government regulations, and selected codes and standards in the performance of related tasks.
Requirements
- Designer Level I: High School diploma/GED, 2 years college or technical school course work in AutoCAD (AutoCAD AUD preferred), or technical discipline.
- Designer Level II: Associate's Degree or technical school certification in AutoCAD (AutoCAD AUD preferred), 2 years of electrical utility design experience.
- Designer Level I: High School diploma/GED, 2 years college or technical school course work in AutoCAD (AutoCAD AUD preferred) or a technical discipline, and 1 year design experience in area of specialization.
Qualifications
- Autocad, Design, GIS, Utility design, UX design, Mapping software.
- Strong AutoCAD skills and solid soft skills (collaboration).
- Valid Driver’s License required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plans, or programs terms.
