CAD Designer

CAD Technician

Structural Technologies is seeking a CAD Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing complex drawings of structures and equipment systems, establishing and following technical specifications, consulting with engineers, and coordinating with shop teams for material deliveries.

• Prepare complex drawings of structures and equipment systems.
• Establish and follow technical specifications to prepare drawings and draft designs.
• Consult with engineers regarding model accuracy and coordinate with shop team for material deliveries to job-sites.
• Determine material needs, perform necessary calculations, and track all material quantities.

Requirements

• 3-7 years experience with AutoCAD, preferably structural concrete drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand structural drawings.
• Strong communication skills, able to correspond well with Engineers and Clients.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor, SolidWorks, BIM/Revit, and MS Office Suite.

Pay

The anticipated pay range for this role is between $28-28/hour based on education, experience, and location.

Schedule

Nationally, travel is expected to be 5-10%.
