CAD Designer

About the role

InProduction is the leading provider of temporary seating, staging, structures, and scenic production for the U.S. live events industry. The Company partners with event organizers throughout the entire venue transformation process, offering core services including design and fabrication, delivery and installation, on-site execution, and tear down across golf, motorsports, music festivals, sports & entertainment, and corporate events. InProduction is backed by ZMC, a leading private equity firm focused on operational value creation and strong partnerships with industry executives.

InProduction is seeking talented individuals to create and design solutions for high-profile nationwide events. The ideal candidate will provide accurate drawings for sales staff using the company’s drawing library of parts, with deliverables shared with customers, building officials, and field technicians. Candidates willing and able to grow with the company are preferred, as InProduction is experiencing significant industry growth.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to achieve functional design solutions under various constraints
• Participate in design reviews and work with site surveys
• Produce code-compliant drawings and specifications
• Maintain project schedules to ensure deadlines are met
• Review and verify drawings in multiple design modeling software formats
• Detail drawings for manufacturing purposes

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience using AutoCAD
• Associate’s degree or AutoCAD certification preferred
• Preferred experience in entertainment and events industry (Live Events, Sporting Events/Venues, Theater)
• Must report to office
• Strong AutoCAD foundation and proficiency in creating detailed drawings
• Working knowledge of dynamic blocks and ability to create/expand existing library
• Working knowledge of 3D and programs such as 3DS Max preferred
• Ability to work in a dynamic, driven, and collaborative environment
• Proficiency in PC-based computing, Microsoft Office, and Windows OS
• Adobe Creative Suite skills
• Background check and drug screening required

Compensation: $22–$26 per hour (based on experience)
