The company’s “Rekor One” roadway intelligence engine transforms raw data into actionable insights for governments and businesses, improving roadway safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Rekor seeks a skilled Traffic Control Plan Designer to develop detailed traffic control plans that meet customer‑specific requirements, using CAD software and collaborating with contractors, government agencies, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Design temporary traffic control plans (TTCPs) for a variety of projects using CAD software, including RapidPlan.
• Ensure all plans align with MUTCD standards, local government regulations, and project‑specific requirements.
• Submit traffic control plans to contractors and governing authorities for review and approval, addressing any required modifications.
• Support the dispatch department in scheduling upcoming work, coordinating with field teams, and maintaining communication with customers.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, field supervisors, and government agencies to ensure smooth implementation of traffic control plans.
• Perform related tasks as needed to support overall project success, including preliminary site sketches and as‑built drawings.

Requirements

• Certification: Traffic Control Supervisor certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and RapidPlan is highly desirable.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of MUTCD guidelines and local government requirements for temporary traffic control.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities, with the capacity to convey technical details clearly.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Independence & Teamwork: Self‑motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
