CAD Designer

Position Overview

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer for our Meridian, Idaho office. Our mission is to help create better communities through professional engineering services.

About the Role

This position is part of the J-U-B Transportation Services Group (TSG), a group of over 80 full-time staff focusing on surface transportation projects in Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Oregon, and Wyoming. The TSG manages over 200 active projects, including various types of roadways, highways, intersections, interchanges, roundabouts, and active transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work in a collaborative team environment and become an expert in CAD on transportation projects.
• Utilize CAD software design skills to develop construction drawings, including creating existing ground surfaces from survey data and finished grade surfaces using grading tools, developing details, and producing plan sheets.
• Cookordinate efforts with engineers, EITs, drafters, other designers, and surveyors in the office.
• Adhere to scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Perform on-site reviews to gather project information and ensure accuracy of plans and measurements.
• Build technical and team leadership skills through active coaching/mentoring and growth opportunities.
• Apply effective time management.

Requirements

• OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D experience
• 2+ years of transportation and/or bridge CAD experience
• Effective communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

$28.00 - $40.00 per hour, determined by experience.
