CAD Designer
Responsibilities
- Collaborates closely with Civil Engineers to translate design concepts into detailed 3D surfaces, alignments, corridors, and complex pipe/pressure networks for water, sewer, stormwater, and open channel infrastructure and site civil design.
- Coordinates with Civil Engineers to develop proposed grading plans and digital terrain models (DTMs) to ensure optimal site functionality, drainage (including open channel and drop structure design), and erosion control.
- Prepares comprehensive construction drawings sets, including plans, profiles, cross-sections, erosion control, and technical details for water, sewer, stormwater, and open channel infrastructure and site civil design.
- Processes survey data and incorporates GIS or record drawings into active project models.
- Works closely with Civil Engineers.
- Software: AutoCAD Civil 3D (Surfaces, Pipe Networks, & Grading tools)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Familiarity with GIS files
- Autodesk Forma a plus
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu for digital markups
- Strong ability to interpret engineering redlines and maintain high QA/QC standards.
Requirements
- A minimum of Three (3) years of experience as a CADD designer (AutoCAD Civil3D)
- Civil and wastewater emphasis is preferred
- HS diploma, A.A. Degree in Drafting, Design, or related field preferred
- Experience and demonstrated ability with current versions of AutoCAD and using the Civil 3D package to create surfaces, alignments, and profiles
- High attention to detail, good organizational and time management skills
- Must have excellent communication skills and desire to work in a team environment.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay
The projected range for this position is $29-$34hr ($60,000-70,000 annually). Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
