CAD Design Supervisor

As a CAD Design Supervisor at nVent Management Company, you will lead our CAD team in producing precise and high-quality technical drawings, models, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a world-class team of CAD designers and drafters.
- Assign workloads, balance priorities, and ensure strict adherence to timelines.
- Establish and implement CAD standards, templates, and guidelines.
- Review drawings and models for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and optimize CAD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce rework.
- Cook up and coordinate with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project requirements.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure our outputs are flawless and align with regulatory and industry standards.
- Serve as the primary contact for CAD-related questions across the organization.
- Participate in project planning meetings to understand scope and build needs.
- Manage CAD software licenses, updates, and integrations in partnership with IT.
Requirements
- Academic background in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated background as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or in a comparable position with advancement into leadership.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, drafting standards, and build documentation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage numerous projects and timelines simultaneously.
