Cactus Wellhead - Shop Leadman

About the Role

This is a Cactus Wellhead position located in Casper, WY. The role involves coordinating activities of assemblers, mechanics, and testing in the shop to ensure conformance to Company standards and meet production specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
• Manage the local safety program within established guidelines, complete and submit monthly safety reporting, and conduct safety meetings.
• Ensure all equipment is in working order, serviced as required, and maintain good housekeeping in the branch facility.
• Diagnose problems and recommend or implement appropriate solutions.
• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Interpret Company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Interpret specifications and job orders to workers, and assign duties.
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, and work crew.
• Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
• Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Maintain time records of shop employees.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
• Perform activities of workers supervised.
• Handle special projects or assignments as directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of API Standards and specific Sections experience.
• Intermediate computer skills, advanced language skills, intermediate mathematical skills, and intermediate reasoning ability.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of shop personnel.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift).
• Climb stairs and ladders.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Work in confined spaces when required.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools.
• Perform repetitive movements.

Environmental Conditions

• Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Exposure to loud noise levels requiring hearing protection.
• Work in high places and confined spaces.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals.
• Work around moving mechanical parts.
• Work in hot and cold temperatures.
