Cactus Wellhead - Assistant Service Manager

This is a Cactus Wellhead position located in Casper, WY. Local candidates preferred.

About the role

Responsible for ensuring awareness of customer requirements and customer-specific running procedures. Plans field installations, ensuring proper tools, spares, backup equipment, and qualified associates are available. Assists with logistics including travel to locations.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
• Actively and continually recruit qualified candidates for necessary positions within the department and other Cactus Wellhead positions.
• Supervise department personnel including interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, coaching, counseling, and corrective action when required.
• Assign qualified service associates and confirm safety certifications.
• Determine if new service associates can be assigned with veteran service associates to gain on-the-job training (OJT).
• Use Land or Offshore Service Job Package and print for service associates.
• Prepare Job Assessment Meeting document based on job type, identifying job location, service tools, spare parts, and any special customer requirements.
• Assemble Service Job Package and fill out required information.
• Review customer SRO, equipment requirements, and running procedures with service associates.
• Place Service Job Package in the service associate’s file.
• Inspect equipment prior to shipping.
• Perform all functional responsibilities of a service associate.
• Handle special projects or assignments as directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five to ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Cactus Wellhead Products, Service Documentation, and Record Keeping.
• Experience with wellhead and valve installation, operation, maintenance, corrective action, and field complaint investigations.
• Equipment troubleshooting of Cactus Wellhead and other OEM equipment.
• Customer relationship management and networking, customer service best practices.
• Intermediate computer skills, advanced mathematical and language skills, and advanced reasoning ability.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift).
• Climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Work in confined spaces when required.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools.
• Perform repetitive movements.
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions, loud noise levels, high places, confined spaces, dust, fumes, chemicals, moving mechanical parts, and hot/cold temperatures.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel to remote locations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Assist the Service Manager in managing a team of service personnel. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws.
