About the Role

Cache Valley Assisted Living is seeking a fun, hardworking, and dependable individual to join our team as our new weekend cook. This role offers flexible scheduling with hours from 3 pm–7 pm and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Preparing meals for the elderly community
• Cleaning and maintaining the food service area
• Assisting the dietary supervisor in maintaining inventory control

Requirements

• Able to cook short-order breakfast items
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment
• Ability to follow a recipe
• Ability to handle stressful situations well
• Flexible and accommodating with hours and residents
• Effective communication with supervisor, coworkers, families, and residents
• Good time management skills
• At least 2 years of cooking experience
• Current food handlers permit
• Kind and compassionate attitude with a love for the elderly
• Must pass a background check and TB test upon hire
