Cable Technician

About the role

What You'll Learn & Do

• Pull, route, and label network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6)
• Assist with cable installations in a data center environment
• Help terminate cables and patch panels
• Support cable testing and troubleshooting activities
• Learn industry-standard installation practices
• Assist with fiber optic cable handling and organization
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Work alongside experienced technicians and project leads

Requirements

• Interest and experience in telecommunications, low voltage, or construction
• Basic experience using hand tools preferred
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Positive attitude and eagerness to develop new skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work on ladders and at varying heights
• Comfortable working in construction and data center environments
• Ability to lift and carry materials when needed
• Must be able to distinguish cable colors and read labels

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Candidates with flexibility to work either shift are preferred.
