Cable Technician
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team in Waterbury, CT. This role is ideal for a technician with hands-on experience in structured cabling who enjoys working in commercial environments, pulling and terminating cable, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and delivering quality installations.
Responsibilities
- Pull, route, dress, and secure Cat5e/Cat6 cabling in commercial environments
- Terminate cables including RJ45 connectors, keystone jacks, and patch panels
- Test, troubleshoot, and certify cabling installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, layouts, and work orders
- Label and document cable runs according to project requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Operate ladders, lifts, and other equipment as needed
- Work alongside project teams to ensure installations are completed on time and meet quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Connecticut Low Voltage License (T1, T2, C5, or C6 preferred)
- Experience pulling, terminating, and testing structured cabling
- Knowledge of Cat5e, Cat6, and commercial cabling standards
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical documentation
- Comfortable working at heights and operating lifts
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in commercial buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, or industrial environments
- Familiarity with cable testing equipment and certification tools
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification a plus

This is a Contract position based out of Waterbury, CT.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
