Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and repair UAVs in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and technical orders.
  • Install and test electro/mechanical actuators, landing gear, fuel systems, and avionics systems with limited supervision.
  • Perform off-aircraft assembly of spare components and support equipment.
  • Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications.
  • Use conventional hand tools, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and Fluke meters.
  • Work effectively in a team setting and be detail-oriented, deadline sensitive.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with common hand tools.
  • Knowledge of computer operations and applications pertinent to the field.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks and demonstrate a good working knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures.
  • Willingness to work on systems with unusual conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy, cryogens, or radioactive materials.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
