Job Description

We are looking for an experienced CabinetVision and Alphacam Programmer to be responsible for programming and optimizing CNC machines for architectural millwork production. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of CabinetVision and Alphacam software and experience working in the millwork or woodworking industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and edit CNC programs using CabintVision and Alphacam for millwork production (e.g., cabinetry, paneling, moldings, etc.).
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate and efficient programs.
  • Optimize CNC programs to improve production speed and material usage.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure the feasibility and accuracy of designs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machine-related issues.
  • Maintain and update CNC programs as needed to accommodate design changes or improvements.
  • Ensure that all work complies with quality standards.
  • Provide training and technical support to CNC operators and production staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CabinetVision and Alphacam programmer, ideally in the architectural millwork or woodworking industry.
  • In-depth understanding of CNC machinery, tooling and various materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with designers, engineers, and production staff.
  • Knowledge of woodworking materials, finishes, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with Homag CNC machines and WoodWop software is a plus.
  • Hands-on shop experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other CNC programming software and tools.
  • Familiarity with advanced machining techniques and automated production processes.
  • Strong understanding of shop workflow and production management.
