About the Role
Provide warranty and service support to the Builder service center. Handle warranty and service requests to satisfy the builder's requirements for warranty, service, or customer satisfaction. All efforts should align with the company’s Mission Statement, CIP principles, and Builder Channel Standardization.
Responsibilities
- Perform service or warranty repairs, adjustments, or replacements to meet customer requirements.
- Develop working knowledge of Maestro and other AWC electronic tools.
- Build extensive product knowledge.
- Inspect and determine the extent of warranty or service issues as requested by customer service.
- Perform installations if necessary.
- Repair, replace, or adjust countertops and cabinets.
- Assist in the warehouse as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across the department, location, and company.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of experience with cabinet installation and repair preferred.
- Ability to build effective business relationships and work collaboratively with employees, customers, and the public.
- Strong reasoning, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to act as a team player.
Skills
- Language: Ability to read and interpret business documents (reports, charts, graphs, diagrams) and communicate effectively with customers.
- Mathematical: Proficiency in basic arithmetic, computing rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting graphs/diagrams.
- Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and interpret technical instructions.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to use hands for handling, reaching, and fine motor tasks.
- Occasionally required to lift and move a minimum of 75 pounds.
Working Conditions
- Typical office and construction site environments with moderate to high noise levels.
- Significant local travel required.
- Work shifts may vary from standard business hours, including occasional weekends and extended evening hours.
