Cabinetry Associate I positions at Elkay Interior Systems (EIS) are entry-level roles designed for those interested in starting or advancing their careers in manufacturing. The role involves constructing cabinetry and countertops from scratch or pre-cut components, ensuring products meet quality standards, and supporting special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Construct cabinetry and countertops from scratch or pre-cut components using shop drawings and procedures
  • Operate manufacturing equipment including sprayers, hand tools, table saws, boring machines, and related tools safely and effectively
  • Apply laminates and finishes according to specifications
  • Label finished goods accurately according to project requirements
  • Maintain required production documentation, ERP entries, and job records
  • Support special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
  • Follow all workplace safety standards, housekeeping requirements, and operational procedures
  • Absorb and assist with material organization, requisitions, and laminate preparation as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Entry-level role — prior cabinetry or manufacturing experience helpful but not required
  • Ability to read basic shop drawings and apply measurements accurately
  • Comfort using measuring tools and hand/power tools safely
  • Basic computer skills for time tracking and production reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining productivity standards
  • Reliable attendance, safety awareness, and willingness to learn

Qualifications

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and manual work
  • Regular lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels
  • Required PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear

Pay
