Cabinet Technician / Refacing/ Cabinet installer

Kitchen Tune-Up Houston Sugar Land is seeking a Cabinet Technician specializing in refacing and installation to join our crew. We provide unique custom products and services in high demand, including wood restoration, cabinet painting, redooring, refacing, and new cabinet installations. This is a great opportunity to work on projects in the Greater Houston region with a growing remodeling business.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with another installer on cabinet redooring, refacing, and installations in customers' homes.
• Work with the installer and project manager to execute projects quickly and efficiently.
• Follow established installation processes to ensure a quality, repeatable end product.
• Adhere to Kitchen Tune-Up Trustpoints on every job.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including daily cleanup.
• Communicate daily with the project manager about progress.
• Upload progress pictures and daily reports to Buildertrend.
• Work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards.

Requirements

• Stellar work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with installers and project managers about project details.
• Proficiency in drilling for hinges, installing doors, drawer fronts, roll-out trays, and other cabinet accessories.
• Ability to safely operate power tools, including table saws, mitre/chop saws, power hand saws, routers, planers, and powered nail guns.
• Leadership ability to manage a team of two on job sites.
• Willingness to work in Fort Bend, Harris, Brazoria, and surrounding areas.
• Professional and friendly interaction with customers.
• Commitment to completing jobs correctly the first time.
• Valid driver’s license with a verifiable good driving record and no physical limitations for required tasks.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in cabinet refacing and custom cabinet installation.
• Excellent knowledge of cabinet construction and terminology from years of experience.
• Experience cutting and installing all types of moldings, including crown molding.
• Prior experience leading a team of installers.

Pay

$20.00 - $32.00 per hour

This is a permanent, year-round position with paid training and bonus potential.
