Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Works directly with a trainer, performing routine cabinet maker tasks such as assembling complex subassemblies including monitor mounts, task lights, electrical panels, and shelf assemblies.
- Packages cabinetry while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
- Water Spider: facilitates workflow, including stocking bins, pallets, cardboard, and general material handling.
- Learns entry level cabinet build processes and understanding use of 3DXML, AX production cover notes, and standard work assembly drawings (SWAD).
- Frequently operates tools/equipment such as impact drivers, pneumatic tools, test fixtures, pallet jacks, lifts, tape guns, press fixtures and banders while using required PPE and following safety guidelines.
- Routinely follows SWADs to perform tasks. May be required to interpret the results of certain test procedures, and may troubleshoot and repair parts when necessary, referring situations outside of instructions to the trainer, Unit Specialist or Supervisor.
- Achieves and maintains quality and productivity standards while following safety guidelines. Must not pose a risk to self or others.
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Able to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, some fractions, and able to effectively read a ruler.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity is required.
- Must be able to operate the required hand tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise maneuver up to 35 pounds with or without assistance on a routine basis.
- Able to walk, stand, sit, bend, reach, and occasionally kneel, climb steps, and twist throughout an entire shift.
- Some areas may be exposed to chemicals, noise, vibration and /or dust, and require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); such as, but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, foot protection, etc.
