About the role
This position involves installing and mounting non-electrical and electrical interior/exterior components and hardware, assembling fabricated parts, and ensuring manufacturing quality and safety standards are met. The role requires leading and assisting personnel in daily production tasks, communicating instructions, and managing interdepartmental coordination to ensure timely product flow. Additional responsibilities include designing graphics for ambulances and working closely with dealers and customers.
Responsibilities
- Install and mount non-electrical and electrical interior/exterior components and hardware.
- Assemble fabricated parts, components, or other units at stations.
- Read blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Ensure safety requirements and manufacturing quality are met.
- Clean and inspect the product for quality standards.
- Lead and assist personnel in the completion of daily production tasks.
- Communicate tasks and instructions to work cell personnel.
- Meet minimum safety standards per assigned department.
- Familiarize with all aspects and processes of the assigned department.
- Qualify for the highest ranking job classification within the department.
- Ensure parts are ordered and processed through the system.
- Lead machine operators and manage interdepartmental communication.
- Responsible for graphic quotes and designing graphics for ambulances.
- Work closely with dealers and customers.
Requirements
- Preferred 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements.
- Ability to use common hand tools and power tools such as drills, screw guns, and caulk guns.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally and follow directions.
- Successful completion of drug and background screening.
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing up and down ladders.
- Ability to operate and understand all protective safety equipment in the area.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments.
