About the role
A Cabinet Installer/Service Technician at Carter Lumber will perform various repairs for cabinets under warranty. Key responsibilities include analyzing jobsites, conducting cabinet performance tests, and ensuring a safe work environment.Requirements
- Strong knowledge of building materials and tools - Strong work ethic and ability to work under time constraints - Strong math skills - Ability to follow both written and verbal directions - Problem-solving abilities - Valid driver’s license, able to operate Carter pickup truck and van (no special license required) - Pass Carter Lumber employment requirements - Ability to lift 50 lbs - Ability to climb ladders up to 32’ - Excellent verbal and written communication skillsResponsibilities
- Repairs
- Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning a job to ensure quality repairs.
- Repairs warranty products using appropriate tools.
- Conducts cabinets performance tests.
- Creates and supports a safe work environment on the job site.
- Customer Service
- Treats customers with respect and provides high-quality workmanship.
- Completes jobs promptly and with attention to detail.
- Adheres to the company’s code of conduct and responds to problems and complaints calmly and patiently.
- Knowledge & Training
- Acquires necessary training to repair products safely and efficiently.
- Becomes certified in the product/area being repaired to provide excellent service to customers.
