Cabinet Installer/Service Technician

About the role

A Cabinet Installer/Service Technician at Carter Lumber will perform various repairs for cabinets under warranty. Key responsibilities include analyzing jobsites, repairing warranty products, conducting performance tests, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of building materials and tools - Strong work ethic and ability to work under time constraints - Strong math skills - Ability to follow directions both written and verbal - Ability to analyze and solve problems - Valid drivers license, able to pass qualification to operate Carter pickup truck and van (no special license required for either) - Pass all Carter Lumber employment requirements - Ability to lift 50 lbs - Ability to climb a ladder to heights up to 32’ - Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Repairs
• Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning a job to ensure quality repairs.
• Repairs assigned warranty products using the appropriate tools.
• Counsults with supervisors to determine the most efficient method of repair.
• Conducts cabinets performance tests.
• Creates and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times.
• Customer Service
• Treats customers with the utmost respect and provides the highest quality of workmanship.
• Completes jobs promptly and accurately.
• Follows the company’s code of conduct and reacts to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner.
• Knowledge & Training
• Acquires the training needed to repair the product safely and efficiently.
• Becomes certified in the product/area that is being repaired to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
