About the role
The Cabinets Crew Member supports the installation of cabinets, countertops, and related components within pre-finished modular homes. This role contributes to product quality and production efficiency by performing detailed installation work, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and following construction specifications and safety standards in a controlled manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, assemble, and install kitchen cabinets and related materials according to specifications
- Perform cabinet and countertop installations by following detailed written, illustrated, and verbal instructions
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and purchase orders
- Complete trim work and finish details to meet quality standards
- Use tools and equipment such as cop saws, nail guns, and angle saws safely and effectively
- Maintain inventory of tools, materials, and supplies
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers to support a cooperative and productive environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and purchase orders
- Skilled use of cabinet installation tools, including cop saws, nail guns, and angle saws
- Knowledge of different wood grains and species
- Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
- Ability to perform overhead physical work for extended periods
- Ability to use mathematics and measuring devices to calculate length, width, height, and depth
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds consistently
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Moderate noise levels; hearing protection may be required in certain areas
- Use of safety glasses and other PPE required in designated manufacturing zones
- Frequent standing and walking for extended periods
- Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of materials up to 80 pounds
- Requires manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, stamina, and physical endurance
Schedule
Full-time schedule, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Evening work or Fridays may be required based on production demands. Travel is not expected for this role.
Pay
Salary Range: $19.55/hr
