About the role

As a C4I analyst, you use your specialized functional experience and attention to detail to conduct all-source analysis with an emphasis on national C4I analysis in compliance with DIA's SOP for C4I Functional Production Area, DIA ADO, and ICD 203 or 206 standards. You will provide intelligence production and briefing support to address dynamic intelligence requirements, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of C4I and all-source analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide C4I and telecommunications infrastructure intelligence analysis on military's national C4I organizations, systems, processes, technologies, and telecommunications networks.
  • Identify potential vulnerabilities in redundancy, confidentiality, and system integrity.
  • Support identification, location, and tracking of foreign mobile signal, electronic warfare, and SIGINT units that support joint or national C4I functions.
  • Deliver comprehensive reviews and analytic products, often under pressure, including reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats such as Microsoft Office tools, electronic matrices, or web-enabled formats.
  • Communicate complex issues clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, with strong grammar skills.
  • Develop structured research, evaluate and organize information within security and data protocols, and resolve contradictions or inconsistencies in information.
  • Apply complex analytic methodologies, such as structured analytic techniques (e.g., Analysis of Competing Hypotheses, Red Team Analysis, Alternative Futures Analysis) to examine biases, assumptions, and theories.
  • Evaluate collected intelligence reporting, engage with collection managers, and develop collection requirements.
  • Structure analysis based on trends in reporting and perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
  • Collaborate with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes or conflict resolution.
  • Lead teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems, providing guidance on analytic methodologies, and challenging differing perspectives.
  • Review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely test analytic rigor.
  • Mentor and share expertise with other analysts to foster team growth and deliver high-quality support to customers.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance (mandatory).
  • Working knowledge of the concepts involved in the specific functions outlined in the labor category description.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Ability to work semi-independently with oversight and direction, and later, independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong logic and critical thinking skills for evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information.
  • Ability to interpret analysis, including its meaning, importance, and implications, and adapt judgments based on new information or evolving conditions.
  • Proficiency in producing timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials using tools like Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), electronic matrices, or web-enabled formats.
  • Ability to develop structured research while adhering to security and data protocols.
  • Working knowledge of complex analytic methodologies, such as structured analytic techniques, to examine biases, assumptions, and theories.
  • Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, including technical sensors/platforms and human intelligence sources.
  • Ability to evaluate collected intelligence reporting, engage with collection managers, and develop collection requirements.
  • Comprehensive mission knowledge and skills affirming completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.
  • Ability to communicate understanding from incomplete, indirect, highly complex, or technically advanced information.
  • Ability to collaborate with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and resolving analytic disputes.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
  • Mastery of qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies and awareness of developments in academia or other fields affecting tradecraft methodology.
  • Ability to define new or unique research approaches enabling rigorous assessments for high-level tasks.
  • Ability to analyze analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries, clearly articulating key findings.
  • Ability to review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely test analytic rigor.

Qualifications

  • Desired Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category, with at least a portion within the last 2 years.
  • Desired Education: Master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution (as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education). An additional 5 years of senior experience (totaling 17 years) may substitute for the Master's degree.

Pay

Expected salary range: $140,000 - $150,000 annually.
