C++ Software Engineer (Dayton)
About the role
Stellar Science is seeking C++20/23 Software Engineers with three or more years of industry experience creating reusable, maintainable code solving challenging math and physics problems. A BS (or equivalent experience) is required, an MS/PhD degree is desired.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain high-quality, scalable software solutions
- Solve complex mathematical and physical problems in various scientific domains
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative software tools
- Work on projects related to space situational awareness, computer vision, directed energy, metamaterials, and biothermal modeling
- Develop and integrate code using relevant libraries such as Boost, Eigen, and others
- Participate in continuous integration processes using tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and CMake
- Contribute to the development of user interfaces and 3D graphics applications
- Engage in image processing, computer vision, CAD, aerospace vehicle dynamics, and modeling and simulation
- Perform work at government and/or customer sites, with the option to work remotely from Dayton, OH

Positions are in Dayton, Ohio. We are currently hiring remote employees near current remote employees in Dayton, OH where we plan to open a small satellite office.
