About the role
MORSE is seeking highly motivated and talented C++ Software Engineers to join our innovative team, supporting various projects that provide hardware-software interfaces, simulation, and real-time capabilities to a diverse range of Department of Defense (DoD) customers. As a C++ Software Engineer at MORSE, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, contributing to the success of our applications and embedded software and making a meaningful impact on our customers. You will collaborate with teams of engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software products that meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, efficient, and reliable software applications using C++ and Python
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and pair programming to ensure high-quality code and knowledge sharing
- Interface with hardware including boards, sensors, cameras, GPS receivers, radios, and microcontrollers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest software engineering trends, tools, and technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products, ensuring seamless integration and deployment
- Contribute to the development of new codebases that emphasize object-orientation, modularity, and maintainability
Requirements
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or significant professional experience)
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Expertise in C++ and proficiency in Python
- Strong understanding of hardware, embedded systems, and sensors
- Experience with Docker, Docker-compose, or Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and microservice architecture
- Strong communication skills and self-motivation
- Experience or desire to lead technical teams

Pay
$90,000—$210,000 USD
