About the Role
This position involves nursing/therapeutic support work, implementing treatment plans developed by professional staff. Key responsibilities include mentoring less experienced staff, leading therapeutic processes, monitoring client health parameters, and ensuring client safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and orient newly hired/less experienced staff
- Lead individual/group therapeutic processes/discussions
- Provide information about clients' physical conditions and behavioral characteristics
- Absorb aseptic integrity during client care tasks
- Monitor and record vital signs, dietary intake/output
- Alert professional staff to significant changes/irregularities
- Describe unusual incidents verbally/writttenly
- Escort clients to social/recreational activities and medical appointments
- Implement appropriate interventions to prevent/de-escalate inappropriate behaviors
Requirements
- Delaware certification as a Nursing Assistant
Additional Posting Information
This is a casual/seasonal position without benefits. The posting may close upon filling the position. New hires must attend SNEO, undergo a criminal background check ($85), and a 2-Step TB/PPD test.
Conditions of Hire
All new hires must report to SNEO, complete a 2-Step TB/PPD test, and adhere to the collective bargaining agreement. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. The State of Delaware participates in E-Verify.
