About the role
The Branch Chief, State-Operated Facilities (SOF), provides strategic leadership, planning and execution, policy development and implementation, and direction for the SOF Branch in the Statewide Clinical Services Division (SCSD) of the Department of Developmental Services (Department).
Responsibilities
- Provides oversight of the operation of Stabilization Training Assessment and Reintegration (STAR) crisis homes, Crisis Assessment and Stabilization Team (CAST) mobile crisis services, Canyon Springs Community Facility (CS), and the Complex Needs Residential Program (CNRP) currently in development.
- Ensures the SOFs and programs uphold the values of the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act (Lanterman Act) including person-centered planning, trauma-informed care, cultural competence, and service access and equity consistent with the Department’s mission.
- Oversees the supporting operational services, standards and compliance, Community State Staff Program (CSSP), Life Outcomes Improvement System (LOIS) in the SOF, process improvement initiatives and other special projects.

Pay
$12,131.00 - $14,453.00 per Month
Schedule
Hybrid, in-office/telework position. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or cancelled at any time. Incumbent must live and work in California. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Organization and functions of California State Government including the organization and practices of the Legislature and the Executive Branch.
