About the role

The Assistant Manager – HSE position is available at the Gharo Plant operated by BYD Pakistan, a subsidiary of Mega Motor Co.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations across all operations.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and training sessions to promote a strong safety culture.
• Oversee emergency preparedness plans, environmental protection initiatives, and contractor safety performance.
• Ensure safe, sustainable, and legally compliant operations throughout all project phases.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
• Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or OHSAS preferred.
• Experience: 3-5 years in HSE within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Plant industries.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in health, safety, and environmental management.

Skills

• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
