Your Contribution
You will oversee supplier/subcontractor contract negotiations, issue purchase orders and/or EDI releases for materials/services, and manage supplier relationships. This role requires influencing action through analysis, negotiating contracts, managing inventory, interfacing with quality on stock issues, and working within a budget. Time management is crucial due to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
You are expected to work as part of a team, resolve supplier issues, and support a lean culture by ensuring transparency in supplier orders, efficient inventory turns, and service responsiveness.
Your Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field or 8 years of direct experience in a similar role and industry in lieu of education.
- 2 years of direct related experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills in SAP.
- Problem Solver - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem-solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Experience with statistical analysis and ability to identify and anticipate stock issues.
- Ability to write and present detailed reports.
- Self-motivated and self-starter, enjoy challenges, and always looking for ways to improve processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, conscientious, and diligent.
