Buyer/Planner

About the Role

Sika is seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to join its growing team in Sealy, TX, for the roofing business. This role is responsible for reliable and prompt Trading Goods product supply into various warehouse locations and for the replenishment activity that follows. The position also participates in inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supply Chain Manager with inventory control
• Monitor Trading Product demand
• Purchase Trading Goods for inventory and subsequent resale
• Communicate with Trading Goods vendors to ensure timely and accurate supply
• Enter and manage orders for certain Semi-Finished items that will become Trading Goods
• Optimize the Trading Goods inventory velocity
• Minimize obsolete and aged Trading Goods inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of product experience
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organizational and effective time management skills
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization
• Excellent knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution, MS Word, MS Excel, IBM Lotus Notes
