Buyer/Planner

About the role

Kraft Heinz is seeking a Buyer/Planner to join our Supply Chain team at our Winchester, VA facility. This role is responsible for managing the procurement and planning functions to ensure optimal inventory levels and production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials and packaging supplies
• Create and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing inventory levels
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues
• Monitor inventory levels and implement corrective actions to maintain target metrics
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, and logistics
• Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
• Manage purchase orders and track supplier performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Skills

• APICS certification (preferred)
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Demand forecasting and inventory management expertise
