Buyer/Planner

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Procurement and Sourcing (45%)
  • Maintains inventory levels to meet goals.
  • Executes purchasing and operational cost savings or quality improvement projects.
  • Performs market analysis and executes sourcing plans.
• Supplier Management (20%)
  • Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers.
  • Communicates expectations and coordinates routine communication with suppliers.
  • Coordinates the establishment of new suppliers.
  • Maintains purchasing databases within Mapics.
  • Covers returns and issue resolutions with suppliers.
• Production Scheduling (20%)
  • Makes production and quality inspection schedules and priorities.
  • Releases manufacturing orders and analyzes customer order lead-times.
• Special Project Execution (10%)
  • Provides leadership, coordination, or input for purchasing and production control process improvement projects.
• Quality Systems Maintenance (5%)
  • Ensures purchasing and production control systems and procedures comply with FDA/ISO, CE, and MHW requirements.
  • Responds to internal and external audit findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education or experience.
• NAPM/APP certification preferred.
• 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing environment.
