Buyer (Manufacturing)

Responsibilities

• Cook up procuring Argo Parts, Oil, Garments, and Accessories (POGA), to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Maintain supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and delivery performance.
• Analyze demand forecasts and inventory levels to determine purchasing strategies.
• Issue purchase orders, monitor order status, and resolve supplier delays or shortages.
• Collaborate with Arctic Cat POGA and Argo POGA teams to ensure accurate part specifications and costing.
• Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate the setup and organization of Argo POGA within the Arctic Cat Bucyrus warehouse
• Maintain accurate ERP system data including pricing and lead times.
• Cook up purchasing and inbound logistics for Argo POGA during the warehouse setup phase, ensuring timely delivery
• Address quality issues and facilitate corrective actions with suppliers
• Create and maintain category part numbers/stock codes. Track and report material master changes and updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field, preferred, or equivalent related experience.
• Must have 3+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing.
• MRP/ERP systems experience.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Knowledge of inventory management and cost-control strategies.
