Production Procurement Operator

About the role

Responsible for acquiring materials and documents to fulfill purchase requests, including preparing purchase orders and handling inquiries about orders. Follows through with purchases from order placement to fulfillment, ensuring orders arrive undamaged and on time. Manages the ordering of all emblems.

Responsibilities

• Examine departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy to support the buying process
• Ensure purchase orders are issued, shipped, and received on a timely basis
• Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations
• Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems
• Maintain knowledge of all organizational and governmental rules affecting purchases
• Handle various ad-hoc requests supporting the Center Led Procurement process

Requirements

• Acute sense of urgency, excellent customer service skills and demeanor
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented
• Strong command of Microsoft Word and Excel; MS Access a plus
• Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures
• 0-2 years of experience in supplier management or related field

Qualifications

• Education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
