Buyer - Distribution | West Bolyston, MA

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels and control across multiple warehouses.
• Communicate with global manufacturers and suppliers regarding orders, inventory, and delivery timelines.
• Support supply through product selection, development, and sourcing.
• Maintain vendor relationships including service level and On Time and In Full (OTIF).
• Identify and capture opportunities for one-time PBIT improvements.
• Negotiate with all levels of supplier contacts including key challenges in price, availability, lead time, and freight.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with AS400 is a plus.
• Analytical skills with the ability to use Microsoft Excel to drive decisions and communicate key performance trends.
• The ability to understand negotiations and pursue predefined results.
• Ability to respond to multiple needs and priorities through open, professional communication.
• Experience with e-mail such as Outlook and other Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint).

Pay

Bunzl salary range for this role is $58,000-$61,000 based on education, experience & geographic location.
